Michael is a specialised insurance litigator who has more than 30 years’ experience, both as a Barrister and Solicitor at national and state law firms, successfully acting for his clients in the management of a wide variety of insurance disputes.

Michael was recently engaged by a new Queensland underwriting agency to draft their brief of documents to enable them to commence their operations in Australia including their home, contents and residential strata PDS’s, their respective Key Facts Statements, Privacy and Cookies policies and an Authorised Broker Agreement.

His knowledge of the rules of evidence, civil procedure in each State jurisdiction and the insurance industry as a whole enables him to confidently advise his clients and successfully manage a wide variety of insurance claims with the assistance of his dedicated team of young professionals.

Jan Domantay graduated from Monash University in 2007 from his double degrees in Science (major in Psychology) and Law and was admitted to practice in 2008.

Jan is passionate about solving client’s challenges, particularly in business, property and estate planning. He has a strong background in litigation in all levels of courts including VCAT, Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts. In his spare time, Jan loves travelling with his young family and is an avid follower of all things sports, particularly the NBA, UFC and AFL (massive Hawthorn Hawks fan).
